- Educational Excellence: Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher with first-class or second upper-class honors from a recognized institution. Interested graduates who meet this criterion should complete and submit this expression of interest form.
- English Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in English by excelling in the TOEFL iBT exam. Interested candidates who meet criterion (1) above will register for the TOEFL iBT exam with us.

The Journey & Time Estimates
- (TC1) Demonstrate equivalence of U.S college/university graduate: 2 weeks
- (TC2) Prepare for and pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT exam: 2-4 weeks
- (TC3) Get enrolled into the Teacher Certification Program: <1 week
- (TC4) Receive guidance on areas of certification available to teach based on academic credentials: 1 week
- (TC5) Select area of certification, prepare and take subject exam (s): 4-8 weeks
- (TC6) Commence and complete 150-hour introductory courses: 4-8 weeks
- (TC7) Get recommendation for employment, prepare and attend job interviews: 1 week to 8 weeks
- (TC8) Get job offer, line up paid internship: 1 week to 6 weeks
- (TC9) Receive guidance on collecting United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) documents (proof of credentials) for School District (IDS): 2 weeks
- (TC10) Get attestation letter from the relevant Educator Certification Board that the candidate meets the requirements to teach in the U.S: <1 week
- (TC11) Work with the school to apply for visa (H -1B): >=12 weeks
- (TC12) Travel to the United States
- (TC13) Complete 30 hours of field observations (15 in person, 15 online): <1 week
- (TC14) Begin nine month internship with certification program supervision: 9 months (36 weeks)
- (TC15) Complete remaining 150 hours of Educator Certification Board curriculum: 4-8 weeks
- (TC16) Prepare and pass Pedagogy and Professional Responsibility (PPR): 4-8 weeks
- (TC17) Get teacher’s license
